FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

1. Is body/belly painting safe?
Yes. I bodypaint with only FDA approved face and body make-up. This is make-up that has been approved for use on human skin. It is used by professional clowns and theatrical performers all around the world.

2. Do you have a studio?
Yes. My Virginia Beach studio located on Air Rail Ave. near the Norfolk Airport. However, I do photography and bodypainting on location as well.

3. How long does it take to complete a body/belly painting?
A belly painting takes me about 30 to 45 minutes to complete. Full bodypaintings take 1 1/2 to 2 hours depending on the detail.

4. How long will the body/belly painting last?
The make-up dries in about 3 minutes after applied to the skin. It remains glossy and moves with you for about 4 hours. This allows enough time to have photos taken or perform at an event. After about 4 hours the bodypaint starts to dry and flake off in a very fine powder.

5. How do I get the body/belly paint off?
The body make-up washes off easily with just soap and water. It is completely water soluable.

8. Do you offer photography without the body/belly painting?
Yes. I love photographing people. I photograph non-painted materninty portraits, as well as children, families, actors and models and even commercial work.

9. What are your hours of operation?
I available weekdays after 6:00pm and most weekends by appointment only.

10. Can you cover up my stretch marks, veins, and blemishes?
Yes. The make-up is very opaque and covers any skin blemishes. Plus, once you choose your favorite images from the proofs, I retouch them with computer photo editing tools. Your skin will appear in the print to be completely free of any unsightly marks.

11. How do I view my image proofs?
I post most all your images on a web site built just for you. It is password protected, so only you can get on the site to see your proofs. You can also place orders for your prints directly through the site. Credit cards and Paypal accounts are accepted, or you can mail a check.

12. How long are my proofs posted and available to print ?
Your image proofs are posted within 10 days of the photo session. They stay accessable to you for 6 months, and you can place your print order at any time.

13. Are you the only photographer, or can I request a female?
I am the only artist and photographer for Jeff Edney Studios. This way you are guaranteed to get images that are comparable to the quality and style posted on this site.

14. Can I buy prints/files at a reduced price if I do not want the retouching?
The final files or prints that I deliver must always be digitally processed and retouched. I am not comfortable delivering any files or prints that do not look the absolute best that I can make them.

15. Are print packages multiple copies and sizes of one image or can I make up a print package with multiple images?
Print packages can be created in order for you to get multiple sizes and copies of any one image. If you want duplicates, triplicates, or multiple sizes of your favorite photo, a package can be created to save you money. However, multiple images can not make up a package for a package price.
